About Us

For far too long, Robla School District families have had no opportunity for students to continue their education beyond the 6th grade within the District. In March of 2019, Robla began a collaboration with education leaders from the non-profit New Hope Community Development Corporation. Through powerful, heartfelt conversations, Robla School District leaders, parents and staff clearly expressed strong support and urgency for a middle school that will build on the best practices of the District. On December 18, 2019, the Robla School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to establish New Hope Charter School to serve Robla students.  In August, 2021, New Hope opened with its first class of 7th-grade students.  Additional grades will be offered in subsequent years.

New Hope Charter School has developed a powerful and unique relationship with Robla School District. We will continue to collaborate with Robla School District in developing, planning and operating our school, which is carefully designed to meet the specific needs of Robla families and middle school students. NHCS will also be in partnership with New Hope Community Development Corporation (NHCDC), which provides affordable housing, after school educational enrichment and economic empowerment services to underserved families. NHCDC will support our students and families with access to housing and basic needs, counseling, crisis management and support services, workforce planning, and after-school and enrichment activities – all of which will be provided to NHCS families and students free of charge.
